Laveno Mombello
Laveno is the tourist capital of the eastern shore of Lake Maggiore, and is known for its tourist port that connects it to the Piedmontese shore. It is situated between the blue of Lake Maggiore and the green of the mountains behind it, including the important Monte Sasso del Ferro, famous for its cable car. Laveno is also considered an important center for the production of ceramics and porcelain, among the largest in Italy and Europe.
